The Donkey Dealers Association of Nigeria is demanding one billion naira compensation from the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) over seized dried meat handed to the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS). NAQS has destroyed 414 sacks of meat, valued at N200 million impounded by the Kebbi State Command of the NCS on May 19. Chelsea have completed the signing of French international Christopher Nkunku from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. Celtic have announced the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as the club’s new football manager on a three-year contract, the Scottish club said on its website. Bournemouth have appointed Spaniard Andoni Iraola as head coach on a two-year contract, hours after sacking Gary O’Neil, the Premier League club said in a statement on Monday. Zamfara State Police Command has returned all vehicles it seized from the former governor of the state, Bello Matawalle. The Zamfara police public relations officer, ASP Yazid Abubakar on Saturday confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) via telephone. Abubakar said the vehicles were returned in compliance with the order of Federal High Court sitting in Gusau. The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) says it has begun preliminary investigations to unravel the remote cause of the death of over 103 persons in a boat accident at Egbu village in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State. The United States beat Canada 2-0 on Sunday in Las Vegas to secure their second consecutive CONCACAF Nations League title. First-half goals from Chris Richards and Folarin Balogun were enough to give the United States the victory in their first meeting with Canada in a tournament final.
