Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCoS) have  discovered 1,600 drums of expired tomato concentrate stashed in 20 containers. The illicit shipment was confiscated at the Lagos Port and Terminal Multi Services Limited (PTML), and one suspect was apprehended. A businessman, Kolawole Erinle was found guilty and given a twelve-year prison sentence for a $1.4 million fraud by Judge Rahman Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos. Police in Ecuador seized nearly 14 tons of drugs destined for Central America, the US and Europe, authorities said Thursday.
