The Court of Appeal in Lagos has set tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 15, to deliver judgement in the appeal filed by the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran, challenging Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s re-election. A Nigerian student Onyedika Oriaku has been jailed for seven years by a UK court for raping a woman in the female toilets of a busy nightclub, a court was told. Oriaku reportedly returned to the VIP section of the club and bragged to his friend that he had sexual intercourse with the unnamed female. President Bola Tinubu of Nigeria met top officials of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to negotiate a “multi-billion dollar infrastructure finance facility” to help build ports and power plants, his spokesperson said on Tuesday. Google LLC, an American multinational technology company, has urged a Federal High Court, Abuja to dismiss the 150 million dollar suit filed by a Nigerian, Mr Chianugo Peter, against it and GoDaddy.com. Google, the second defendant in the suit, told Justice Obiora Egwuatu that Mr Peter’s claims were unmeritorious, unworthy and should be dismissed. Troops of Operation Safe Haven have apprehended a man identified as Yakubu Shanano for reportedly murdering a mobile police officer in Plateau State.
