Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun took to his Instagram page, @saidibalogun, to disclose the death of the veteran actor on Thursday. An unidentified soldier has blasted Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for arresting his comrade and three other motorcyclists for driving against traffic on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway. The soldier, who appeared to be defending his comrade in a viral video on Thursday, chastised Sanwo-Olu for calling a soldier ‘useless’ in the sight of ‘bastard civilians’. The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) stated on Thursday that its members have no plans to raise fuel prices. A Lugbe Grade I Area Court in Abuja on Thursday sentenced a 23-year-old guard, Peter Elisha, to 16 months imprisonment for stealing three bicycles worth N1.9 million. French energy giant TotalEnergies said it has launched a land acquisition assessment for controversial $10-billion projects in Uganda and Tanzania slammed by environmentalists.
