Salem Bazoum, the son of Niger president Mohamed Bazoum who was toppled in a coup last year, was provisionally released on Monday, according to a Niamey military tribunal. Minister of Interior, Olunbunmi Tunji-Ojo resigned from his position as managing director of New Planet Project Limited, documents exclusively seen by Chronicle NG have revealed. The documents submitted to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) revealed that Tunji-Ojo, alongside his wife, Abimbola Tunji-Ojo resigned as directors of the company in February 2019. The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court on Monday ordered that Professor Cyril Ndifon, the suspended dean of the faculty of law at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), charged with alleged sexual harassment, be remanded in Kuje prison.
