Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped the chairman, Edo State Chapter People Democratic Party, Tony Aziegbemi, along Idaro Street, off Country Home Road, Benin, Edo State. The unfortunate incident reportedly happened around 11 pm on Friday. Nigeria’s inflation rate soared to 31.70% in February 2024, continuing its upward trend, the government statistic agency has revealed. The National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, reported this in its Consumer Price Index report for February 2024. From the 29.90% recorded for the month of January, Nigeria’s inflation rate for the month of February increased by 1.80%. “In February 2024, the headline inflation rate increased to 31.70% relative to the January 2024 headline inflation rate which was 29.90%.
