The Sokoto State High Court has issued an order restraining Governor Ahmed Aliyu from sacking two of the 15 District Heads his government had earlier removed from their seats. The fire that engulfed a section of Dangote refinery has been contained, a terse statement by the private refinery on Wednesday said. The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, on Tuesday, ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of $1,426,175.14 linked to the immediate-past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele. Justice Ayokunle Faji ordered the final forfeiture of the funds to the Federal Government. The final forfeiture order followed an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday.
