The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion for emergency repairs of the Eko Bridge by the Federal Ministry of Works. The diversion is expected to start on Monday, September 16, 2024, and last for 8 weeks. The announcement was made in a statement by the State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, on Friday. “The repairs will be carried out in four phases, during which the bridge will be intermittently fully or partially closed, depending on the work schedule,” he said.
