Arsenal have now only won once in six away games in all competitions after a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan at the San Siro in the UEFA Champions League, as the Nerazzuri’s unbeaten run stretched to nine matches. Despite fielding a much-changed side ahead of this weekend’s crunch clash with Napoli, Inter were the width of the crossbar away from scoring the opener inside just two minutes, as Denzel Dumfries’ outside-the-boot effort came back off the woodwork. Hakan Calhanoglu then struck just wide from distance moments later, as Arsenal were immediately on the back foot. However, the Gunners grew into…
Paris St Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique blamed his team’s 2-1 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid on bad luck, admitting the Ligue 1 leaders’ qualification chances were in danger as they plunged into the red zone of the Champions League group phase on Wednesday. PSG applied their usual possession pattern but were again pretty much toothless in attack, owing Warren Zaire Emery’s opener to a defensive blunder. Nahuel Molina equalised quickly and Atletico’s resilience paid off three minutes into injury time thanks to second-half substitute Angel Correa’s goal at the end of a counter attack – a scenario that…
West Ham United winger Mohammed Kudus’ ban has been extended to five matches and he has been fined 60,000 pounds for violent conduct in last month’s Premier League defeat at Tottenham Hotspur, the FA said on Wednesday. He was found guilty of violent conduct by an independent Regulatory Commission and will now also miss their league matches…

An Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza has killed at least 20 people, mostly women and children, Palestinian officials said Tuesday, as Israel wages a nearly monthlong air and ground operation in what was already the most isolated and heavily destroyed part of the territory. The strike late Monday hit a home where several displaced families were sheltering in the town of Beit Lahiya, near the border with Israel, according to Hossam Abu Safiya, the director of the recently raided and barely functioning Kamal Adwan Hospital, which received the casualties. The dead included eight women and six children, according to a…

The United Kingdom is set to see its first increase in university tuition fees in eight years, according to a report by The Telegraph on Monday.
