America’s top court has ruled that employers who fire workers for being gay or transgender (LGBT) are breaking the country’s civil rights laws. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court said federal law, which prohibits discrimination based on sex, should be understood to include sexual orientation and gender identity. The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force on Monday said it has relaxed the curfew imposed on the state following the advent of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic. The Tallahassee Police Department has identified Oluwatoyin “Toyin” Salau, 19, and Victoria Sims, 75, as victims of a double-homicide. Police said Monday that 49-year-old Aaron Glee Jr., the suspect in this case, has been taken into custody. He has not yet been charged. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 573 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.
