The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit to prevent former National Security Adviser John Bolton from publishing a new book about his time at the White House. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 490 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday. The 490 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed cases to 17148. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 274 patients from isolation centers across the country with 31 new deaths reported. Secretary of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C), Remi Aboderin, has stated that the new broadcast regulations released by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is unbeneficial to boxing and other sports in the country. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, has arrested five alleged internet fraudsters, including one Adedamola Adewale, a self-acclaimed social media influencer, for their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud. The five suspects were apprehended in different areas of Lagos during a raid by operatives. The Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a staff of First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Philips Orumade, for allegedly stealing the sum of eighteen million, nine hundred thousand naira ( N18,900,000) from the bank. Orumade, who was said to be in charge of ATM gallery keys at Aduwawa branch of the bank, on November 3, 2019 allegedly disappeared with the said amount and efforts to trace him proved abortive. Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday convicted Raphael Ayomide Davies of money laundering, and sentenced him to 24 years imprisonment. Davies was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Monday, February 19, 2018 on an eight-count charge of money laundering, to which he pleaded not guilty, thus setting the stage for his trial. The Court of Appeal in Abuja has upheld the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). An FCT High Court had on March 4 granted an application by six members of the APC in Edo State suspending Oshiomhole from office.
