He was said to have died of COVID-19 complications at First Cardiology Specialist Hospital, Lagos after reportedly battling coronavirus-related symptoms for a month. The All Progressives Congress (APC) did no wrong in granting its Edo Governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, waiver to contest its primary, Edo High Court has ruled. Veteran actor and filmmaker, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post.
