The Independent Petroleum Marketers’ Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) have directed its members to sell a litre of petrol at N150. The associations’d directive follows Federal Government’s approval of N138.62 as the ex-depot price for a litre. It was however learnt that despite the ceiling, Private Depot Owners (PDO) sell the product to dealers for N139 per litre. The new price modulation was announced on Tuesday by Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA). The Presidential Investigation Committee on the activities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday rejected the request for video recording of the panel’s proceedings made by the suspended acting chairman, Ibrahim Magu. The chairman of the panel, Justice Ayo Salami, however, pledged fair hearing to all parties appearing before it. He also made it clear that no one is on trial before the committee, which is on a fact-finding mission. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 457 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday. The 457 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 44890. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 314 patients from isolation centers across the country with 17 new deaths reported. However, the show’s one-time resident DJ has said he “did experience and feel the toxicity of the environment”. Lebanon is in mourning after a huge explosion in the capital Beirut killed at least 100 people and injured more than 4,000 others on Tuesday.
