Court has ordered the arrest of ex-Niger governor Aliyu Babangida Aliyu

The Federal High Court, Minna, Niger State, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, adjourned ruling till October 27, 2020, on a motion filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for the relisting of the criminal matter, involving former Niger State governor, Muazu Babangida Aliyu and Umar Nasko. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 225 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Tuesday. The 225 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 60,655. The NCDC also announced the discharge of 63 patients from isolation centers across the country with one new death reported.
