Nigerian governors have begun to inaugurate the Judicial Panel of Inquiry following a resolution at the last National Economic Council meeting chaired by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. Prof. Osinbajo also urged governors to set up special funds in their States to compensate victims of brutality and to also open communication lines that will enable them interface with citizens. Speaker of the House of Assembly, Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, said there were casualties at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday somewhat countering Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The Nigerian Senate has adjourned plenary till November 24th, 2020. The announcement was made by the Senate President Ahmad Lawan at the end of plenary on Thursday. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Senator Oladipo Olusoga Odujinrin, MFR, as Part-Time Board Chairman of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) for an initial term of four years. The appointment takes effect from 6 October 2020. Before his appointment, Senator Odujinrin has been a member of the Board of the National Agency for the Control of AIDS in 2018.
