The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on Tuesday November 17, 2020 presented its 6th witness in the ongoing trial of a former Governor of Zamfara State, Mahmoud Aliyu Shinkafi and others before Justice Fatima Aminu of the Federal High Court Gusau, Zamfara State. The Uyo Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested one Umoh Archibong, a contractor notorious for allegedly using fake contract documents to obtain about N1.8bn from unsuspecting members of the public. He was arrested on Friday November 6, 2020, at a hotel in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. His modus operandi is brandishing fake contract documents to prospective victims, and enticing them with promises of huge returns if they agree to fund the execution of the contracts. Donald Trump says he has fired a top election official who contradicted the US president’s claims of voter fraud. President Trump said he “terminated” Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) chief Chris Krebs for his “highly inaccurate” remarks on vote integrity. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) in Nigeria has dismissed reports in the media and social media that terrorist organisation, Boko Haram bombed one of its helicopter.
