Nigeria’s main opposition party has advised President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to hands off the management of the economy. Nine French language students of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria kidnapped last Sunday have been confirmed freed. The nine students were on the way to Lagos for an immersion programme at the Nigerian French Language Village (NFLV) in Badagry when they came under attack by kidnappers along the Kaduna-Abuja highway. The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Nasarawa state, Mr Philip Schekwo, who was abducted Saturday night, has been assassinated. His lifeless body was found a meter away from his house a few minutes ago. Schekwo hailed from Toto local government area of Nasarawa. He was Commissioner for Commerce and Industries during the first tenure of former Governor Tanko Al-Makura.
