Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state has tested positive for coronavirus, as second wave of the pandemic kicks in across Nigeria. Gunmen attacked the headquarters of a local security organization, codenamed OSPAC, on Erema Street in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, Rivers State, injuring one person.

Gunmen on Thursday night attacked the convoy of the Emir of Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Asha leaving eight members of his entourage dead. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 1,145 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Thursday.
