Manchester City have withdrawn from the European Super League (ESL) and Chelsea are also preparing to do so. Efforts to leave come just two days after both were announced as two of six English clubs to sign up to the controversial new competition. Two persons have been killed in renewed boundary dispute between Ezilo and Iyionu communities in Íshíelu local government area of Ebonyi state. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned political parties against acrimonious and violent congresses and primaries. INEC threatened to boycott the exercises if its staff continued to be exposed to harm.
