Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday April 27, 2021, arrested 33 internet fraud suspects, also known as ‘Yahoo-Yahoo Boys’ in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The suspects were apprehended at Adigbe, Oloke, Ibara Housing Estate Extension and Idi Ori areas of the Ogun State capital, following actionable intelligence earlier received on their alleged criminal activities. Operatives of Oyo State Security Network Agency also known as Amotekun, Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) have arrested no fewer than eleven (11) suspects who have been terrorising residents of the State. According to Daily Post, the eleven people were arrested at different locations in the state. Amotekun Commandant in Oyo State, Col. Authorities of the Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade, Ogun State have shut the institution following the worsening security challenges around the polytechnic. Mr Giggs was accused of causing actual bodily harm to PR executive Kate Greville, 36, and the common assault of her younger sister Emma, at his home.
