Lieutenant General Joshua Dogonyaro, a former Chief of Defence Staff during the regime of the late General Sani Abacha, is dead. He was popularly known as the man who anounced the Babangida-led coup that outsted General Muhammadu Buhari in 1985. Dogonyaro died on Thursday morning at The Jos University Teaching Hospital. The Bende Divisional Headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State has been attacked by hoodlums. Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma has dissolved his cabinet, relieving 20 of his 28 commissioners of their duties.
