Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai has declared the president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba wanted following protests that led to the shutting down of schools and businesses. The national union is protesting the sack of some civil servants as well as the non-payment of salaries of the others. A Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Ogun State, Abidemi Rufai has been arrested for fraud in the US. According to a statement by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Seattle, the governor’s aide was arrested on Friday evening at JFK Airport in New York on a criminal complaint charging him with wire fraud for his scheme to steal over $350,000 in unemployment benefits from the Washington State Employment Security Department. A dismissed soldier has been arrested for training fighters recruited for the Eastern Security Network (ESN) by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
