National Assembly building leaks after heavy downpour

The roof of the National Assembly started leaking after a bout of rain on Tuesday morning. The incident left many astonished especially after billions of naira were earmarked to prevent such issues. The affected areas included; the main lobby of the legislative complex – between both chambers. These areas had water dripping from the roof to other parts of the building. The Press Centre, where journalists monitor plenary sessions, was also affected. The Commissioner for Infrastructure for Concession in Ebonyi State, Fidelis Nweze, is dead. Mr Francis Nwaze, the Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on Media and Publicity, announced this in a statement. He explained that late Nweze died in a ghastly motor accident that occurred on Tuesday, although he did not disclose the location where the crash took place. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has convicted and sentenced a Ponzi Scheme operator: Umoren Moses Edet to seven years imprisonment for obtaining money under false pretense and issuance of dud cheques.
