Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state presides over APC CECPC meeting at the party secretariat

The acting chairman of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) Governor Abubakar Bello has announced that the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party will be held next week. Bello disclosed this when he spoke to journalists at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja although he did not give a specific date. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, ordered that 16 lawmakers from Ebonyi vacate their seats following their defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). A Federal High Court in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital has ordered the Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state and his deputy, Eric Igwe, to vacate their seats on grounds that it was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that won the March 2019 governorship election and not the candidates.
