Gunmen strike Benue again, kill two, abduct 14 passengers

An unknown number of students have been abducted by armed bandits from the College of Agriculture and Animal Science in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara state. The gunmen attacked the school around 11pm on Sunday night, kidnapping students and staff of the institution. According to reports, at least two security operatives and two watchmen were killed during the incident. The Zamfara state police command confirmed the latest development through its Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, who assured that a statement will soon be released. Not less than five people have been killed by armed bandits in Madamai village in Kagoro Chiefdom, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna state. Reports say that the assailants raided the community on Sunday during which nine houses were burnt down.
