The baby girl was delivered of her mother over the weekend was named ‘Reach’ after the plane’s call sign. Nigerian powerlifter, Latifat Tijani has secured Nigeria’s first gold in the female 45kg event Tokyo Paralympic games. Her first attempt of 105kg was disallowed. Nigeria has recorded a 5.01% increase in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2021. The latest development was disclosed in a report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday. Japan has suspended the use of about 1.63 million doses of the Moderna vaccine due to contamination. The health ministry said “foreign materials” were found in some doses of a batch of roughly 560,000 vials. Takeda Pharmaceutical, which sells and distributes the vaccine in Japan, said Moderna had put three batches on hold “out of an abundance of caution”.
