Not less than five rockets have been fired at Kabul’s military airport where evacuation is currently underway. US anti-missile defences intercepted the missiles as it battles against time to conclude it’s withdrawal from Afghanistan after a 2-decade war against the Taliban. The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 93 deaths from COVID-19 and 362 new cases according to a report announced on Sunday. The new cases were reported from 15 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Lagos had the highest cases (200) followed by Oyo (33) and Kwara (30). New Zealand has reported what it believes to be its first death linked to the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. An independent vaccine safety monitoring board said the woman’s death was “probably” due to myocarditis or inflammation of the heart muscle.
