A group of armed men reportedly disrupted a meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing one of its members in the process. It was gathered that the party-members were meeting to make arrangements towards the November governorship election. The gunmen struck without warning, shooting sporadically to cause chaos, which led to the death of a man identified as Somadina Oforma. Reports say that many other party members sustained bullet wounds from the attack. Armed bandits have attacked the Madamai and Abun communities in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. According to reports, no less than 30 persons were killed during the attack while many others were left seriously injured. The Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday adjourned a suit seeking to challenge former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s eligibility to vie for the office of the president until December 6.
