The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has warned Governor Nyesom Wike and other stakeholders in Rivers to refrain from making pronouncements that could instigate violence ahead of the state forthcoming re-run elections. Abuja carnival suffered a minor scare over the weekend when the Katsina procession train was gutted by fire. NAN reports that the incident occurred when the beautifully decorated float mounted on an articulated truck came in contact with a high tension electric wire at Area One.
