Governor Ayo Fayose’s Ekiti state government on Wednesday evicted the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Ekiti State command and other Federal ministries and agencies from their various offices. The News Agency of Nigeria,(NAN) reports that they were evicted from Fayose Housing Estate, located along Afao Ekiti Road in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. The estate, which housed federal establishments such as NSCDC, Prisons Service, NAFDAC, NOA, NABTEB and others, was built by Fayose during his first term in office as a governor of the state and was named after him. China is investing additional $40 billion in Nigerian economy, its Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr Wang Yi, said on Wednesday at a bilateral meeting with his Nigerian counterpart, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, in Abuja. The Kaduna State Government said on Wednesday that it would spend more than N45 billion on education as part of efforts to raise the standard of the sector in the state. Gov. NUPENG suspends strike, signs MoU with Dangote refinery

The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas (NUPENG) workers have commenced their nationwide three days warning strike. This has consequently disrupt the activities of fuel depots across the country. The strike is to protest against anti-Labour practices in the oil and gas sector. FG activates surveillance systems over bird flu in Kano

The Minister of Health and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbe, has disclosed that a new strain of Avian Influenza virus, also known as bird flu, has entered the country and has spread to 26 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. He also revealed that over 3.5 million birds have been affected.
