Veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu has regained his freedom after being detained by the Nigerian Army earlier this week. The 65-year-old man was apprehended for inciting people to join the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Agu who is known for donning the IPOB flag at all times, was wearing one when he was arrested. A suicide bomber attacked a mosque in Afghanistan’s northeastern Kunduz province on Friday, killing scores of worshippers in the country’s third attack this week on a religious institution. Islamic State claimed responsibility for an attack that state-run Bakhtar news agency said had killed 46 people and wounded 143. The Inspector-General of Police Usman Alkali Baba, has reiterated that the Nigerian Police Force has no plans to reinstate the dreaded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), which was disbanded last year. A member of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) has been shot dead by security operatives in Imo state.
