The National Industrial Court (NIC), says pirated copies of its new Civil Procedure Rules 2017, are in circulation and advised legal practitioners to buy the book through approved channels. Mr Olurotimi Daudu, Deputy Chief Registrar of NIC, said some legal practitioners complained they had sighted the pirated copies of the rules in some locations across the country. NUT rejects JAMB’s UTME waiver for NCE admission

JAMB has registered 600,000 candidates for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and warned there will be no extension of time for the registration. Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Relations of JAMB, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Bwari, that deadline for the registration stands. A report by the World Bank and the International Energy Agency (IEA) has revealed that Nigeria, Britain and Russia has cut their electricity intensity by at least two per cent. A four day-old baby belonging to a Nigerian lady, Mariam Ohene, was among over 480 migrants rescued by humanitarian ships on Saturday in the central Mediterranean Sea. Twenty five persons have been arrested over illegal registration of candidates for the 2017 UTME, Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The suspects were also arrested for illegal sale of UTME materials.
