Supreme Court building Abuja as PDP and ADC leadership crisis appeals are set for hearing

The Supreme Court has removed Sopuluchukwu Ezeonwuka of the PDP from representing Orumba North/South of Anambra Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun gave the order on Friday in a judgment in an appeal filed against Ezeonwuka’s election by a member of the party, Ben Nwankwo. Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has sworn-in his brother, Teslim and 54 others as new caretaker chairmen for 28 local governments and 27 local council development areas (LCDAs). Also sworn-in were son of former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, Olamiju; and son of former Olubadan Prince Gbade Lana as caretaker committee chairmen. The Lagos State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has apprehended 138 suspected drug traffickers and seized 1,399.780 kilogramme (about 1.3 metric tons).
