The Police on Thursday arraigned a 23-year-old man, Samuel Aondofa, for allegedly disguising as a woman so as to gain sexual advances from men. Aondofa, popularly known as “Deborah”, appeared before a Makurdi Chief Magistrate’s court charged with criminal deception. The police prosecutor, Mr Omaye Ujata, one Vivian Enger, a resident of International Market area, Makurdi, reported the case at the “E” Division police station. Human rights lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), has asked Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State to commute the death penalty passed on death row inmates in the state to life imprisonment instead of executing them. The Attorney-General of the state, Mr. Adeniji Kazeem, had at a press conference on Tuesday, said that unlike previous administrations, Governor Ambode would sign the necessary documents to execute those on death row in the state. A bus belonging to Kenyan afro-pop band Sauti Sol crashed into a truck in Kenya yesterday leaving the driver dead and two others injured. None of the team members were however involved as they are currently in Lagos on a media tour. Former England footballer Ugo Ehiogu has suffered a nasty heart attack during a session at Tottenham Hotspur training ground. Suspended Supreme Court judge, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta was on Thursday arraigned at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) Abuja, on an amended 8-count charge of false assets declaration. Ngwuta, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges instituted by the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out trying to sign England goalkeeper Joe Hart. It was reported on Wednesday that the Anfield club were close to a £20m deal for the Manchester City keeper, who is currently on loan at Torino.
