The executive governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawale has revealed that hundreds of bandits have been killed or arrested. Matawalle disclosed this at the swearing-in of the Secretary to the State Government, Head of Service, 18 commissioners, 16 special advisers and three Director-Generals. The Zamfara Governor pledged that his administration will not tolerate any complacency in the war against banditry. Chidinma Ojukwu, the prime suspect in the murder of of Super TV CEO, Usifo Ataga, has pled not guilty to the charges leveled against her. The 300-level Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos pleaded her case on Tuesday during her arraignment before before Justice Yetunde Adesanya of the Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square. The 22-year-old along with one Adedapo Quadri, are the key suspects in the murder of Ataga. A group of armed bandits have reportedly attacked a Catholic seminary in Jama’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The seminary, St. Albert the Great Institute of Philosophy, which belongs to the Catholic church was attacked on Monday night by the assailants who whisked away a large number of students from the premises. According to reports, the bandits stormed the theological school which is located at Fayit community, Kagoma Chiefdom in Kaduna. During the attack, they shot sporadically to scare away residents.
