A 28-year-old fashion designer, Chizoba Nwakuro, who allegedly slapped his landlady over unsettled house rent, was on Monday hauled up before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court. Nwakuro, a resident of Odusola Street, Aboru, Ipaja, a Lagos suburb, is being tried for breach of peace and assault. According to the Prosecutor George Nwosu, the accused committed the offences on April 4 at his apartment. The body of late Sen. Isiaka Adeleke has been buried at his residence in Ede, Osun state. The corpse was brought to the residence from Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo at about 10:46am, where the Chief Imam of Ede, Alhaji Moshood Akaje performed the funeral prayers at about 11:03 am. Adeleke’s body was immediately buried after the prayers amidst tears by families, friends and political associates. Gov. A middle aged man has been arrested in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital for possessing human parts. Reports gathered that the suspect had been monitored by residents of Ita Kudimo, Abata Suban, Pakata area of Ilorin West local government in the past few days after speculation grew that he possessed a corpse in his building.
