Canada is moving to crack down on “shoddy treatment” and overbooking on flights. Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau has introduced legislation that will set national standard for how passengers are treated by airlines. The Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs has concluded arrangements to terminate about six abandoned projects spread across the region with a view to enhance the development of the region. The Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe has explained why the rice produced in the country is more expensive than the imported ones. The Minister gave the reason on Tuesday, while responding to questions at a Town Hall meeting in Abuja. Ogbe pointed out that one of the major reasons was that most of the imported rice was subsided by the foreign governments. The wife of the immediate past Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, Lara, has been granted Nigerian citizenship alongside 335 other foreign nationals. “Hundreds of thousands” of Chinese computers at nearly 30,000 institutions including government agencies have been hit by the global ransomware attack, a leading Chinese security-software provider has said, though the Asian impact has otherwise been relatively muted. The enterprise-security division of Qihoo 360, one of China’s leading suppliers of anti-virus software, said 29,372 institutions ranging from government offices to universities, ATMs and hospitals had been “infected” by the outbreak as of late Saturday. US President Donald Trump has defended his “absolute right” to share information with Russia, following a row over classified material. Mr Trump tweeted that he had shared “facts pertaining to terrorism and airline safety” and wanted Russia to do more against so-called Islamic State.
