The Delta Police Command has confirmed the abduction of four Itsekiri leaders and some officials of Elcrest, an indigenous firm, by suspected militants in Delta. A 43-year-old mother has successfully donated her womb to her 21-year-old daughter, who was born without a uterus, with the hopes that her child can experience childbirth. Women are genetically predisposed to developing post-traumatic stress disorder even more so than men, a new study suggests, even though many Americans still widely think PTSD is mostly a male combat veteran’s disease. A study published this week in Molecular Psychiatry showed that three in 10 European-American women who are diagnosed with PTSD can link their illness to genetic variants. Justice Rilwan Aikawa of the Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of the sum of N449,597,000 found in an abandoned Bureau de Change shop in Victoria Island, Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC on April 8th. A 13 year old student, name withheld, of the Command Secondary School, Abuja narrowly escaped death after a qualified nurse in the school administered the wrong medication. The incident happened on the cusp of last month, the student complained about a high fever and was given drugs which led to rashes all over his body. Former Newcastle United youth coach George Ormond has been charged with 29 sex offences, police have said. The 61-year-old, of Newton Abbot, Devon, is alleged to have committed the offences between 1973 and 1998. He is due to appear before Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on 9 June, Northumbria Police said.
