The South African government on Friday deported 90 Nigerians for committing immigration-related offences. DSP Joseph Alabi, the spokesman of the Lagos Airport Police Command confirmed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos. Alabi said the deportees, who are all men, landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 3.30pm. FBN Holdings shareholders on Friday approved dividend of N7.18 billion declared by the company for the financial year ended Dec. 31, 2016. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the shareholders gave the approval at the company’s 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lagos. The dividend translated to 20k per share against N5.38 billion or 15k per share paid in the comparative period of 2015. Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, said on Friday that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) would review the report of the joint committee on the National Minimum Wage on Wednesday. A 23-year-old marriage between Azeez Adeshina, a bricklayer, and his wife, Oluwatoyin, a banker, was on Friday dissolved on the orders of an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos State on the grounds of the wife’s desertion. The 40-year-old husband had told the court that his wife left their matrimonial home 10 years ago because he caught her red-handed with a man. Two more bodies have been recovered from the collapsed three-storey building at Ilasamaja, Lagos, bringing the number of deaths recorded to three. The deceased were recovered between 12:18am and 12:32am, said the General Manager, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and Incident Commander of the operation, Adesina Tiamiyu. According to him, three people died, 19 were rescued and some were still feared trapped.
