An elderly woman has been jailed for three-and-a-half years for sending a death threat to Theresa May. Isabella Jackson, 72, sent a threat by email in 2014 – when May was Home Secretary – as well as making bomb threats to Harrods, London King’s Cross Station, and Edinburgh Airport. When police removed her internet router, she sent an envelope to Levenmouth Police Office containing powder, and marked with the word ‘Death’. The Nigerian Embassy in Washington has protested to the U.S. Government over the violation of its premises by the Secret Service agents following fracas between two local workers. Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State on Thursday flagged off the state health insurance scheme, saying it would improve health care service delivery to the people. The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has agreed to further extend the agreement to cut global oil production by 1.2 million barrel per day till April, 2018. However, Nigeria and Libya were once again exempted from the cut due to domestic challenges already limiting the countries from producing to maximum level. The Independent National Electoral Commission has formally accused the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, of registering for permanent voter card twice, in violation of federal electoral law. The electoral body said Mr. Bello acted “illegally” to have registered for voter’s card in Abuja and Kogi, but said it could not take action against the governor because he is constitutionally protected from prosecution while in office.
