A bird has been arrested in Kuwait after it was seen with a small backpack on it’s back. The bird, a Pigeon, was reportedly sent by traffickers to transport some white pills from Iraq to Kuwait. Once the backpack is opened up, close to 200 small, white pills can be seen spilling out. The bird was caught by authorities after being spotted flying around an inner-city office block. Pictures have emerged showing a mobile phone which is believed to have saved the life of a Gwynedd woman badly injured in the Manchester bombing. Lisa Bridgett, of Pwllheli, had been using the phone after the Ariana Grande concert on Monday when the explosion caused a steel nut to hit her. She lost a middle finger before the nut went through her phone and her cheek, ending up lodged in her nose. Masked gunmen attacked a bus carrying Coptic Christians on a visit to a monastery south of the Egyptian capital on Friday, killing at least 26 people, officials said. Nigeria plans to launch its delayed “green” bond – the first for an emerging market country – within a few weeks, the country’s former environment minister said.
