His charity organisation, Habitat for Humanity however said he is doing “OK.” Carter, 92, became unsteady at the construction site and slumped away from his work area to a chair, according to eyewitnesses, who said he was working for more than an hour on steps of the home, using a drill. A Nigerian passenger on Emirates Airlines on Wednesday slumped and died on arrival at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. The passenger, who arrived on the aircraft with registration number EK783 (DX), was identified as Dr Olusola Dada with passport number A04501199. The spokesperson for the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday. The Police in Lagos on Thursday announced the arrest of a man who allegedly attempted to defraud his brother of N60 million by staging his own kidnap. The spokesman of the Lagos State Police command, ASP Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the arrest to newsmen. An Ado-Ekiti High Court on Thursday sentenced a 19-year-old boy, Adeolu Bamiteko, to death by hanging for armed robbery. The Judge, Justice John Adeyeye, who handed the sentence, also slammed another 10-year jail term on the convict for unlawful possession of firearms. Adeyeye held that the accused was guilty as charged having committed the offence contrary to Section 6 (b) of Robbery Firearms (Special Provisions) Act Cap R11 Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004. The Independent National Electoral Commission has said it will halt the process of recalling the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Mr. Dino Melaye, in compliance with a court directive.
