Buhari to open MM Airport today

Almost eight years after its scheduled delivery date, President Muhammadu Buhari will, today, open the state-of-the-art terminal at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. The terminal, estimated to be worth over $100 million, is one of the five airports – Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and Enugu – that benefited from the 2013 loan deal between Nigeria and China for the building of four new terminals. Czech: 35 injured in Prague train collision

A collision between two passenger trains injured 95 people on Monday morning in the south of the Tunisian capital, emergency services said. “The injured were taken to hospitals and there were no deaths,” civil defence spokesman Moez Triaa told AFP, adding that one train contained passengers, while the other was empty. Three suspects in the kidnapping of Nigerian Navy Lieutenant Cynthia Akor have been apprehended by Naval Unit operatives in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The Nigerian Navy has arrested a vessel named ”Motor Tanker Harbor Spirit” and 13 Nigerians on board conveying a fortified and auctioned crude oil from MV KOME XVIII with a forged document.
