A High Court sitting in Rivers State has found three persons guilty of the murder of four students who were lynched in Aluu community in 2012. The court presided over by Justice Nyordee also discharged and acquitted four others, who had been standing trial for the murder. The Federal Ministry of Health through the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), is to distribute 2.995 million mosquito-treated nets to Osun residents to reduce malaria scourge. Dr Gbenga Adepoju, the Director of Public Health, Osun Ministry of Health made this disclosure on Monday in Osogbo during an orientation programme organised for journalists to help spread awareness. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Alhaji Ibrahim Kpotun-Idris, has warned Commissioners of Police in various commands to conduct themselves professionally and handle criminal cases diligently. Manchester United’s Phil Jones has been suspended for two European games for verbally abusing a Uefa anti-doping officer at the Europa League final. Jones was found guilty of “directing insulting and directing abusive language” and “a lack of cooperation and respect” towards the official. An unidentified 30-year-old Swede who wanted to increase both the girth and length of his genitals using a process where fat is transferred from his stomach, has become the first man to die by penis enlargement surgery.
