Doctors in India have successfully separated conjoined twin boys who were attached at the skull in a marathon surgical procedure that lasted more than 36 hours and involved 40 doctors. The two-year-old twins, who suffered a rare condition occurring once in about 2.5 million births, underwent the operation at a government-run hospital in New Delhi on Wednesday. “It was a team work of 40 doctors, 20 nurses and many other paramedical staff. Nigeria’s Federal Government said on Friday that its plan to generate 20,000 megawatts of electricity over the next four years is on course. The Minister of State for Power, Alhaji Mustapha Shehuri, gave the assurance in Funtua, Katsina State when he inaugurated a 132/33 KV transformer that would boost power supply to local governments in Katsina South by 200 percent. At least six persons were feared dead yesterday after a head on collision by two engine boats at Miza in Ebbe, a riverine area in Lokoja Local Government Area of Kogi State. The incident happened in the early hours of the Friday at Miza when a boat that was heading to the popular Friday Market in Katcha, a border town between Kogi and Niger State had a head-on collision with an oncoming one. Two white farmers in South Africa who forced a black man into a coffin have been sentenced to jail for more than 10 years each. Theo Martins Jackson and Willem Oosthuizen were convicted in August for attempted murder and kidnapping. They accused Victor Mlotshwa of trespassing on their land, beat him up, made him get into a coffin and threatened to burn him alive.
