Australian Senate President Stephen Parry has said he will resign, after confirming he is a UK dual citizen. In a statement, Mr Parry said the High Court of Australia had given “absolute clarity” on constitutional rules that prevent the election of dual citizens. Four persons, suspected to be soldiers, were reportedly feared dead while six others seriously injured when troops of the 152 Battalion, 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army on Operation Lafiya Dole engaged some suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
