South African President Jacob Zuma has lost two court cases in one day, both linked to corruption allegations. Pretoria’s High Court ordered Mr Zuma to set up a judicial inquiry, calling him “seriously reckless” for challenging recommendations by a watchdog in a case against him. The Federal Government will rake in an additional N6 billion from the implementation of the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (VAIDS) before the end of the year. The sum is in addition to the N17 billion already yielded by the scheme within six months. Three boaters have been charged with felony after they were caught in a viral video dragging a shark at a high speed through the water in Florida, US. The video of the shark being dragged went viral in late July after a Miami sport fisherman criticised it on social media. No fewer than 20 vehicles and four commercial motorcycles were on Wednesday afternoon burnt when a tanker laden with petrol fell and spilled its content on the Festac Link Bridge in Awuwo Odofin LGA of Lagos State.
