There is no agreement in place for Manchester United forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan to join Arsenal in exchange for Alexis Sanchez, a source close to Mkhitaryan has told the BBC. It is understood Sanchez has agreed personal terms with United. But neither Arsenal nor United will sanction the deal without Mkhitaryan travelling in the opposite direction. The 28-year-old Armenian is believed to be deliberating over the move and is in no rush to make a final decision. United pipped Arsenal to the signature of Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund for £26m in July 2016. READ: No fraud in Ross Barkley £15m transfer…
Merseyside Police says its officers have found no evidence of a crime in the £15m transfer of Ross Barkley from Everton to Chelsea in the January window. An investigation into the Liverpool mayor’s claims that there may have been fraud involved in Ross Barkley’s transfer from Everton to Chelsea has found no evidence of criminal activity. Joe Anderson, a lifelong Everton fan, wrote to the Football Association (FA) and Premier League after the 24-year-old England midfielder’s £15m move. He claimed the “circumstance” of the deal “warrants serious investigation”. The force’s assistant chief constable has written to both organisations, stating police…

A 2017 report by the Spanish Commission for Refugees (CEAR) revealed that migrant arrivals by sea to Spain tripled in 2017 compared to 2016 figures. The number was fuelled by a surge in the numbers of Algerians and Moroccans, while…
A four-year term is not an eternity. About three years ago when political forces were aligning and re-aligning against the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that eventually paid off and sacked that regime Nigerians had thought the historic merger that gave birth to the All Progressives Congress (APC) will be able to fashion out a new socio-economic Nirvana for Nigeria via bogus promises but today although the visually impaired cannot see what is on the ground they can, at least, feel the impact of the abysmal failures of the Buhari-led Federal Government. The ongoing longing and yearning for a…
