President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sorrow over the Thursday’s petrol tanker fire incident that killed nine people in Lagos. The petrol tanker fire happened around Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway at 5.30 pm on Thursday after it caught fire and spread the inferno to the vehicles behind, the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), said. A gunman has opened fire at a local newspaper office in Maryland, killing five people and injuring others in what police said was a “targeted attack”.
