The national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Thursday described the death of former Finance Minister, Malam Adamu Ciroma, as a great loss to Nigeria. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ciroma, an elder statesman, died in an Abuja hospital on Thursday after a protracted illness. Former Finance Minister and elder statesman Adamu Ciroma has died in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital on Thursday after an unidentified illness. Adamu who is a founding member of Nigeria’s main opposition party People’s Democratic Party (PDP) was also a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. He served as Minister of Finance in the government of Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2003 and is married to Maryam Ciroma who currently holds the position of PDP National Women leader in Nigeria.
